IS Kevin Quiambao Korea-bound by the end of UAAP Season 87?
Not just yet.
The presumptive back-to-back Season MVP denied reports of him having signed for a Korean Basketball League (KBL) team - for now, at the very least.
"Wala pa naman. As of now, wala pa talaga. Focus lang muna talaga ako sa La Salle,” Quiambao told SPIN.ph.
What he did admit, however, is not having a concrete plan just yet after Season 87 - whether it’s staying with La Salle or taking his talents elsewhere.
“After siguro ilang weeks, ilang months, ‘di ko na alam kung ano ‘yung destination na pupuntahan ko, kung babalik pa ba ako,” said KQ.
Rest, recharge, ready wherever
Quiambao has had a lot on his plate in this calendar year alone.
Local and overseas stints with the Green Archers, Gilas Pilipinas, and Strong Group Athletics were among some of them.
Not to mention, KQ’s now a father to baby boy Kevin Venann.
All that lies on his mind for now, apart from defending the UAAP title, is to have himself a much-needed break with his family following a life-changing 2024.
"'Di ko pa iniisip. Focus ako sa finals. After UAAP, nagpa-plan muna ako na magpahinga muna kasi long season at ilang buwan 'tong pinaghandaan namin,” said Quiambao.
“Kailangan muna mag-reset ng katawan ko, ng utak ko.”
