KEVIN Quiambao is ready to tread his own path as he is set to play for La Salle to start his collegiate career.
Sources closely monitoring the situation confirm that the 6-foot-8 center has decided to take his talents to Taft and join the Green Archers.
Quiambao also released a statement on Saturday to affirm his next move.
"Pupunta ako sa La Salle kasi ito yung feeling ko yung lugar na mas mag-grow ako as a player and a student," he said.
Quiambao was the runner-up to the MVP honours in the UAAP Season 82 boys basketball tournament after averaging 12.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in the perfect run of National University-Nazareth School last year.

The 19-year-old will be in Grade 12 next season and can play for La Salle come UAAP Season 84.
It will be a brand new start for Quiambao, who moves out of the shadows of his Bullpups teammate Carl Tamayo, who has since committed to University of the Philippines.
"Excited ako ng sobra kasi new journey, new culture, new system, new school. And thankful ako na isa ako sa mga nakakuha ng opportunity para maglaro sa La Salle," he said.
Quiambao is the latest catch for new Green Archers coach Derrick Pumaren as he revamps the men's basketball program.
La Salle has earlier secured the commitments of Mapua standout Jonnel Policarpio and Letran scorer Joshua Ramirez, as well as Perpetual's Emman Galman and UE's CJ Austria.
