BEFORE leaving for Bangkok for the Southeast Asian Basketball Association (SEABA) Cup, Kevin Ferrer had another important matter to attend to — his graduation.
Ferrer left for Thailand to join the Gilas cadets squad a day late as he attended the graduation rites at University of Santo Tomas on Friday. The former Growling Tiger made it just in time for the opening game of the Seaba Cup, where the Filipinos play against Malaysia on Sunday.
Ferrer wasn’t the only UST Tiger who graduated over the weekend as he was joined by teammates Ed Daquiaog, Kim Lo, and Aljon Mariano, now a player for Barangay Ginebra in the PBA.
Mariano, who last played for UST in 2014 before applying for the pro draft, tweeted a photo of him along with Daquiaog and Lo during the Baccalaureate mass.
“UST will always be our home,” tweeted Mariano.
