KEVIN Alas has nothing but praise for his younger brother Kieffer as he embarks on a new chapter in his basketball career.
Kieffer Alas is now a member of one of the most premier basketball programs in the country by committing to play for the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP after a high school stint in the United States.

While he is glad with how his brother's basketball career is panning out so far, Kevin is aware that Kieffer still has a long way to go, and will be by his side to help guide him.
“I'm very happy for him,” said Kevin on Sunday. “Siyempre, kung ano man meron ngayon, it comes with great responsibility. Of course, daming batang nanonood sa kanya ngayon. Everyone is watching him.”
Kieffer looks to follow in the footsteps of his brother Kevin, who had a decorated collegiate career with Letran under the tutelage of his father Louie before playing for the national team and in the PBA.

Kevin also offered some words of advice for his brother, who turned 19 on Saturday, to stay humble in the face of all the fame. Kevin also encouraged his younger brother not to show off too much when it comes to his off-court life.
“At the same time, I reminded him to be grounded. For example, sinabihan ko siya kahapon, birthday niya kahapon, celebration niya, bawas-bawasan naman niya yung mga ganun.
“I know maybe generation ngayon 'yun na daming celebration. Sabi ko tone down a bit yung mga ganung bagay. You wouldn't give added motivation sa mga makakalaban mo,” said Kevin.
