Jun Manzo allays serious injury fears, eager return to action for UP Maroons

JUN Manzo allayed fears of a serious injury as he limped outside of the locker room after the UP Maroons’ loss to the NU Bulldogs, although he extent of the injury will be confirmed only on Monday.

"Kaya naman," said Manzo.

"Masakit. Tignan ko pa bukas. Papa-scan pa," said Manzo.

Manzo writhed in pain after landing awkwardly while attempting a lay-up, his foot getting stepped on by an NU player.

Manzo admitted he cried and was preparing for the worse as he didn't felt anything in his right leg.

Fortunately, Manzo felt okay after treatments on the bench.

"Oo, umiyak ako. Sobrang sakit. Parang walang lakas 'yung right leg ko," said Manzo.

Optimistic that the injury is not serious, Manzo looks forward to suiting up as soon as possible following the injury.

"Kaya naman. Kailangan namin ng maraming panalo sa second round," said Manzo.
