PLAYING relaxed basketball compared to his previous games, Joe Trinidad was able to get into a comfort zone en route to his best performance of Season 79 in the UAAP.
The 23-year-old Trinidad finished with a season-best 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting from three point range as the Tamaraws defeated University of Santo Tomas on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Prior to the UST match, Trinidad was on a slump, converting only 3 of 14 shots from the three-point area.
“I guess maybe I was just overthinking things and trying to force things. Today, I let my game come to me,” said Trinidad.
Trinidad said his coaches’ confidence in him was the reason he was able to get his game going this time.
“My coaches and teammates helped me a lot to stay confident on the court and be aggressive today because I was not making shots,” said Trinidad.
Trinidad was a huge boost for an FEU side eager to bounce back from a 51-point output against University of the Philippines.
“Coach said to look for the best shot possible. I was open a couple of times. I was being aggressive and the shots went in,” Trinidad said.
