JHON Calisay’s collegiate career isn’t done just yet.

The 6-foot-3 forward’s suspension has been overturned by the UAAP Commissioner’s Office, giving Adamson a much needed relief ahead of its knockout game against University of the East on Wednesday.

Calisay was thrown out late in the first half of the Soaring Falcons’ 69-55 win over Ateneo last Saturday.

He was whistled for his second technical foul for a delay of game infraction with 31.3 seconds left in the second quarter that led to his ouster.

UAAP commissioner Xavy Nunag stressed that his office has the prerogative to review all the calls made and downgraded the penalty “due to the nature of the technical foul.”

It’s welcome news for Adamson with the graduating Calisay being one of the team’s veterans.

The Balangiga, Eastern Samar native is averaging 4.0 points, 4.29 rebounds, and 1.21 assists in 18 minutes of play for the Soaring Falcons.
