    Back from foot surgery, Jeron Teng expects to do much better after dealing with pain early in season

    JERON Teng is feeling much better, and has made an immediate impact for the La Salle after undergoing a minor operation to remove bone spurs in his left foot.

    Back from a a one-week absence, Teng came up with 21 points and five rebounds in leading the Green Archers to victory over University of the Philippines, their ninth in as many games.

    Teng said the rest and surgery was a big relief, after dealing with the pain for quite some time.

    “Never felt better this season,” Teng said. “Kasi since the start, talagang it was really a struggle for me.”

    Teng feels he will be able to perform better even as the Green Archers expect tougher matches in the final stretch of the eliminations.

    La Salle faces National University on Wednesday.

    “Siyempre, a win is a win. But from this game, when we review this, we are going to see rooms for improvement. We have three days to work it out,” said Teng.
