JERON Teng atoned for this turnover-riddled game with clutch shots in the end game for La Salle.

The La Salle veteran, playing in his final year with the Green Archers, scored 11 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter to lead his team to a 69-64 win over the Falcons.

Those clutch baskets made up for his error-plagued first half that saw the Green Archers commit seven turnovers - the same number as the entire Adamson team.

“We just want this game badly,” said the son of former PBA player Alvin Teng. “We didn’t want to prolong the series. We want to play in the finals.”

Teng, who shot 10-of-18 from the field, admitted nerves and overeagerness got the better of him in the first half, resulting in the spotty performance.

“Siguro medyo gigil lang ako nung una,” said Teng.

As a team, the Green Archers committed 26 turnovers and issued just three assists - numbers that Teng viewed as a sign that La Salle still has a lot to work on ahead of the finals.

“Siguro one evident reason is ‘yung turnovers namin. Marami pa kaming kailangan i-work on to prepare for the finals,” said the bull-strong forward.
