JASON Perkins sat out La Salle’s match against Far Eastern University in its UAAP Season 79 seniors basketball opener due to a knee injury, head coach Aldin Ayo confirmed on Wednesday.
Perkins showed up in street clothes and spent the game at the far end of the La Salle bench as the Green Archers downed FEU, 83-78, in their season debut at the Mall of Asia Arena.
“Pinalinisan lang ‘yung tuhod. He is injured,” Ayo told reporters after the La Salle victory.
Ayo said Perkins could be back late September, particularly its fourth game of the season against University of Santo Tomas on September 21.
“He is injured. But I think in our fourth game, he can play,” said Ayo.
