ATENEO’s one-and-done weapons are out of their holsters, as this time, the Blue Eagles outgunned Adamson via a fourth quarter barrage for their third consecutive victory.

As Kymani Ladi remained as good as advertised and Dom Escobar continued to be solid, this win was claimed by Jaden Lazo with 15 points, three steals, and two assists.

Even better, Lazo scored all but two of his output in the final frame, ultimately being the catalyst for their 26-point finishing kick.

After totaling just one point for his past two games, he was thankful that his shots finally fell this time - but more thankful for his team, which didn’t take the green light away from him even after his slow start.

“It feels good,” he said. “But I just wanted to thank my teammates for still believing in me, and the coaches as well. It’s relieving to see the shot go in, but it's just individual stats, I’m not worried about that.”

“I just want to impact winning as much as I can, and I just care about the scoreboard at the end of the day. Right now we’re 3-0, and that’s all I can ask for.”

According to the 6-foot guard, being part of BEBOB - or ‘Blue Eagle Band of Brothers’ - was gratifying, which motivates him more to make the most of his short stay.

As Lazo explained, “It feels great. I know the history and legacy. There were some rough couple seasons in the past, but I just want to impact the legacy as much as I can.”

Even with the soaring start, however, he isn’t about to start thinking about the Final Four just yet - and neither is Ateneo.

“Of course, the championship is the end goal. But that’s weeks from now, and right now we just wanna focus on what’s next,” he said.

“We wanna take it day by day. You can't jump the gun and claim the championship in the first three games of the season,” he added.
