COACH Jong Uichico urged J-Jay Alejandro and Rev Diputado to make up for dismal performances last week and did not disappoint.
Held scoreless by Adamson in NU’s last outing, Alejandro had 16 points, six rebounds, and two assists, while Diputado had eight points, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals as the Bulldogs ended a two-game skid with victory over the University of Sto. Tomas Tigers.
Alejandro was on target in the first half where he scored 11 points.
“Kami ni Rev, wala kaming na-contribute last game. Passive kami. Sabi namin ni coach, we need to bounce back,” said Alejandro.
The work doesn’t stop for Alejandro, however, vowing to improve and help NU avoid another endgame collapse. NU scored only six points in the fourth and saw their huge lead trimmed to a single digit by UST.
“Obviously, we are not happy on how we ended the game. Meron kaming big league. Buti na lang may pondo kami nung first half. We have to work on how to finish strong,” said Alejandro.
