AFTER University of the Philippines and Ateneo split the first two games of the UAAP Season 85 men's basketball Finals, this championship will have to be decided Game Three.
But unlike in the past, the trophy will be raised at Smart Araneta Coliseum on a Monday.
It's a deviation from the traditional Wednesday or weekend schedule for the collegiate league, but insiders bared that there's only one reason for this peculiar move.
Scheduling conflict.
The league only has two venues in mind for a game of this magnitude, either the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City or the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
Unfortunately, both venues were already booked well beforehand for concerts on Sunday, Dec. 18, forcing the league to hold its men's basketball finale a day later.
Korean boy band Super Junior is holding a two-day Super Show 9 Road in Manila this weekend at MOA.
Meanwhile, Filipino boy band SB19 will stage its WYAT Homecoming concert at the Big Dome.

It's this same reason why Game Three of the NCAA Season 98 seniors basketball Finals slated this Sunday has also been moved to Ynares Center in Antipolo.
The PBA has also been holding playoff games at the Philsports Arena in Pasig due to these booking conflicts, including the Games Threes of the Commissioner's Cup semifinals on Sunday.
