ATENEO rookie Isaac Go won’t be suiting up for the Blue Eagles this year due to a season-ending shoulder surgery.

Head coach Bo Perasol confirmed to Spin.ph that Ateneo’s big man find from Xavier School will not be included in the team’s UAAP Season 77 lineup after he re-injured his right shoulder.

Perasol said the 6-6 Go sustained the injury before the team went to the United States for its annual preseason training and is due for surgery anytime soon.

He had previously hurt his shoulder in high school, which he used to protect with a brace.

The injury is a big blow to the frontline of Ateneo, which is in need of big men to shore up a lineup that lost JP Erram (PBA draft) and Frank Golla at the end of last season.

However, Fonzo Gotladera, a transferee from La Salle, is already eligible to play for Ateneo this season.
