FORMER Far Eastern University cager Pipo Noundou has been banned from watching UAAP basketball action at the games venues for the remainder of the season after being involved in a near scuffle in the Tamaraws’ recent match against University of Santo Tomas.
This was the decision made by the UAAP board an incident that could have caused a fight after the Tamaraws defeated the Tigers, 77-67, at the Mall of Asia Arena last Sunday.
Right after the traditional shaking of hands among players of the two teams, Noundou, who was in the patron section, exchanged heated words with UST center Karim Abdul. The two were separated to prevent further escalation of the incident.
The Cameroonian forward was also said to have hit a UST player on the back of the head.
Noundou is a cousin of FEU center Christian Sentcheu, who was apparently elbowed by Abdul in the third quarter of Sunday's match.
Abdul was not called for a foul but was later given a warning by the Commissioner's office for an unsportsmanlike foul.
