ATENEO'S bid for a fourth title in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League is in peril as at least five players are expected to miss Game Two of its showdown against San Beda on Thursday.
Ivorian big man Angelo Kouame joins the Nieto brothers Matt and Mike as possible absentees for the must-win game, slated at 4 p.m. at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig, owing to their classes.
This will be the second time that the Blue Eagles will be shorthanded after starting off with just eight players in their clash against the Red Lions last Monday.
The Nietos, together with Jolo Mendoza and Tyler Tio, came in late for Game One, which ended in San Beda winning, 49-43.
The winner of the Ateneo-San Beda duel will meet University of the Visayas in the knockout championship game on Monday.
