FAR Eastern University’s Camille Sambile is the runaway leader for the Most Valuable Player award in the UAAP women’s division after the first round of eliminations, duplicating the effort of Tamaraw Terrence Romeo in the men’s side.
Sambile posted 89.2857 statistical points (SPs) in the first round, according to league statistics provider Imperium Technology and Smart Bro.
Afril Bernardino of National University is a distant second with 67 SPs, followed by Maica Cortes of University of Santo Tomas (65.4256), Ara Abaca of National University (62.2857), and Danica Jose of Ateneo de Manila University (60.7143).
Duplicating the feat of their male counterparts, the defending champion Lady Tamaraws won all seven games in the first round.
NU is in second place with a 6-1 win-loss mark, followed by La Salle (5-2), Adamson (3-4), UST (3-4), University of the Philippines (3-4), University of the East (1-6), and Ateneo (0-7).
