A LOT has changed at Far Eastern University since the Tamaraws lost a controversial re-play to last season's host National University for a place in the Final Four last season.
New coach Nash Racela, however, is hopeful the changes will all be for the better.
"The very positive thing about this team is we're taking the right steps towards our goals," Racela, who took over from Bert Flores after last year's failed campaign, told Spin.ph after one practice last week. "'Yun naman ang importante."
The good thing is, the Tamaraws still have the pieces in place to put together a good run at the title.
Veteran guards RR Garcia and Terrence Romeo are expected to be the leaders of the team, with Mike Tolomia, Roger Pogoy, Gryann Mendoza, and Carl Cruz leading the supporting cast.
Four big men - Mark and Arvie Bringas, Clarence Foronda and Russel Escoto - are gone, putting much of the frontline responsibility on the shoulders of foreign players Anthony Hargrove and Christian Sentcheu.
