The Tamaraws finished second in the preliminaries with an even 1-1 record, but defeated Group A top-seed La Salle, 15-12, in the semifinals.

Comboy started strong in the championship match, and his two-pointer shoved the Tamaraws to a 10-3 lead.

Richard Escoto scored on a putback to end the game. Kenneth Tuffin and Michael Casino are the other members of the FEU team.

FEU beat a UE team bannered by Alvin Pasaol, who had 17 points in the Red Warriors’ 19-16 victory over National University in the semifinals.
