ONCE more, Mo Konateh, Kirby Mongcopa, and Janrey Pasaol came to play - and this time, the ending was finally in their favor.
It took a while, but Far Eastern University is in the win column of UAAP Season 88 after fending off ever-feisty Adamson, 64-58, Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena.
Sophomores Konateh and Pasaol made things possible yet again, leading a third quarter burner that saw them log seven and six points, respectively.

Konateh wound up with a dominant double-double of 18 points and 20 rebounds on top of two blocks, while Pasaol played facilitator to a tee with 13 markers, six boards, and five assists.
Mongcopa then backstopped them with 15 points and five rebounds, all while spacing the floor to break open the Soaring Falcons' suffocating defense.
According to head coach Sean Chambers, the Tamaraws took a different approach against Adamson, whose zone defense and efficient ball movement helped it upend La Salle earlier this season.
“We changed our mindset after watching Adamson last game after we played NU. Our offense is no more isolation than one-on-ones. I'm willing to learn from everybody here,” he said.
FEU finds a way through
FEU had to make do with limited firepower in the first half, with top gun Jorick Bautista falling into early foul trouble, already committing three just in the second frame.
Even so, the Tamaraws were in control of the contest until the Soaring Falcons made a late run in the final frame, even closing in to just down three, 58-61, thanks to Cedrick Manzano.
Pasaol had the quick counter for the green-and-gold, however, with his booming triple cementing their first winning marging in four games.
Mathew Montebon was the only Adamson player to breach double-digits with 14 points and seven rebounds, as they dropped to a similar 1-3 slate.
