DESPITE a runaway victory against Adamson, La Salle coach Aldin Ayo said the Green Archers are not yet 100 percent in terms of their play on both ends of the floor.
Ayo acknowledged that the Green Archers' 91-75 win over Adamson was their best offensive showing of the season after watching the team make 47 percent of its shots.
Ayo is happy to note the Green Archers are improving every game, but insisted they're not yet close to top form.
“Kung ire-rate ko ‘yung team namin, nasa 70 to 75 percent pa lang kami. We started very low. Siguro against FEU (Far Eastern University), nasa 50 percent lang kami nun dahil sa rust factor,” Ayo said.
“Kung may magandang bagay dito, every game, we are improving,” he added.
Ayo said La Salle’s unbeaten slate that now stands at five games can be attributed to the team's defense.
“We are good on defense but on offense, it’s always been our drawback. But in this game, we were able to execute our offense,” Ayo said.
The former Letran coach is hoping the improvement continues.
“Buti na lang nairaraos namin ‘yung mga games namin. Hirap na hirap kami. Even sa UST, sa first half nahirapan kami," said Ayo.
"Pero I’m very optimistic that as the season goes along, nagpo-progress kami. Hopefully, by the second round, semis, and hopefully sa championship, sana doon kami mag-peak.”
