TAKING over the head coaching job of De La Salle three weeks into Season 76 of the UAAP, Juno Sauler paid little attention on which teams are considered contenders and which team can win it all the way.
For him being the best the Green Archers can be is far more important.
“Our goal is to make sure to keep on improving and be the best that we can be,” he said.
Loaded with young talent and a handful of veterans, the Archers are coming off a season that saw a raw La Salle team make it to the Final Four.
And that’s one thing Sauler definitely wants to improve this year.
Among the young guns, the rookie coach will be relying on freshman Kib Montalbo and sophomores Gabby Reyes and Jeron Teng, last year’s Rookie of the Year.
Almond Vosotros, Luigi dela Paz, and Norbert Torres are expected to provide the experience for this young promising team.
