NATIONAL U continues to retool for the future, securing the commitment of spitfire guard Daniel Padilla.
The 6-foot-1 guard from Cebu City has transferred to Jhocson and will be eligible to play for the Bulldogs come UAAP Season 90.

Coach Jeff Napa confirmed the development, ecstatic to add another asset to his team, as NU traverses this new chapter without longtime leaders Jake Figueroa, Steve Nash Enriquez, and Jolo Manansala.
"Bumalik sa amin, pero mag-Grade 12 pa. So patatapusin muna naming ng high school bago maglaro sa seniors," he said.
This, is a homecoming for Padilla, who once played for NU-Nazareth School, where he was part of two Passerelle champion teams.
Who let the Bulldog out?
The now-21-year-old made a name for himself with Letran in the NCAA Season 100 juniors basketball tournament, leading the Squires with numbers of 14.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.7 assists.

That enabled him to be ranked No. 17 in the NBTC's 2025 list of the top 24 under-19 players in the Philippines, also earning his place among All-Stars.
