Preliminary injunction allows UP cager Rob Ricafort to keep playing in UAAP season

Rob Ricafort will be allowed to suit up for UP after getting after getting a preliminary injunction for the UAAP decision declaring him ineligible for Season 80.

ROB Ricafort will continue to play for University of the Philippines in UAAP Season 80 after getting a preliminary injunction from the courts.

The court decision, as confirmed by Fighting Maroons coach Bo Perasol, will allow Ricafort to play for the coming games of UP, including on Sunday against University of the East.

Ricafort didn't play against La Salle after the 20-day Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) on the UAAP decision declaring him ineligible lapsed.

    Prior to the granting of the TRO, Ricafort was declared ineligible by the UAAP as athletes should not be 25 during the season.

    But Ricafort's camp contends that he will turn 25 in January a month after the basketball season is over, which it believes makes him eligible to play this season.
