Jun 3, 2019

CLINT Escamis is the latest bluechip recruit to take his act to Recto.

The Mapua High School standout has committed to University of the East adding to the boatload of new bloods joining the Red Warriors this upcoming UAAP Season 82.

Head of basketball operations Lawrence Chongson confirmed the move on Sunday.

"UE is back in the game. Escamis' arrival, together with the new recruits, show our renewed commitment to get back to our winning ways," he said.

Escamis has been the undisputed star for the Red Robins this past NCAA junior's tournament, earning his place in the Mythical Team before tearing his ACL in his left knee that rendered him out of the Finals.

The 5-foot-11 guard joins Harvey Pagsanjan of Hope Christian High School as the highly touted rookies suiting up for Red Warriors coach Joe Silva this year, as well as two-time CESAFI MVP Rey Suerte, Senegalese big man Adama Diakhite, Fil-Kiwi forward Richie Rodger, and transferees John Apacible and Niel Tolentino.
