CJ PEREZ finished with 23 points and six rebounds to lift Ateneo to a 70-51 rout of Arellano in the Under-25 division of the Milcu Elite Showcase 2015 over the weekend at the Enderun College gym.
The heroics of Perez, a transferee from San Sebastian who is undergoing a one-year residency at Ateneo to gain UAAP eligibility, gave the Blue Eagles a 2-0 (win-loss) record in the tournament.
The Blue Eagles beat Adamson-A, 78-57, in their debut with incoming sophomore Isaac Go finishing with 14 points.
In other Under-25 matches, Ivan Hernandez had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead AMA University to a 70-65 win over Lyceum.
Arellano nipped Mapua, 75-74, with Michael Canete scoring 16 points and adding four steals for the Chiefs.
Elwin Arnoco had 16 points as Adamson-B beat Lyceum, 84-50, while Mark Joseph Nunez added 11 markers in Enderun College’s 65-42 win over Adamson-A.
In Under-16 action, Adamson went 2-0 after wins over Faith Christian School, 96-28, and De La Salle Integrated School, 81-55.
Chiang Kai Shek College beat Xavier School, 63-41.
