CJ Cansino is in the news over his stunning transfer from University of Santo Tomas to University of the Philippines, which, in turn, opened the lid on a training bubble by the Tigers in Sorsogon that is now the subject of three investigations.
The 20-year old has largely kept his cool while in the middle of a simmering controversy, but couldn't resist clapping back at one critic on Twitter who called his transfer saga a 'sham' and accused UP of using the 'bubble' as an excuse for his departure from UST.
"Bakit parang kasalanan ko pa?'
Cansino also retweeted a version of what happened in Sorsogon that supposedly led to his split with the team, saying, "New story. I love it."
Well, it looks like this issue is far from over, with the Philippine Sports Commission, the IATF-created body that set the guidelines for the return of sports events during the pandemic, and UST itself looking into the matter.
One thing certain, there is more than meets the eye in this controversy.
