FORMER University of the East center Chris Javier says the Red Warriors should be able to score a win if they play together.
Javier, who saw action recently for Gilas 5.0 in the Fiba-Asia Challenge, believes the Warriors have all the material to succeed but are just struggling with the pressure to perform in UAAP 72.
"Wala naman ako nakikitang kulang, siguro ayun lang, they just have to play as a team din."
Javier was at courtside when the Ateneo Blue Eagles drubbed the Red Warriors for their fifth straight loss.
"Confident ako kasi naniniwala ako sa team. Kasi last year lumaban, what more ngayon na kumpletong kumpleto sila, buong buo sila. Kaya pa nila yan," Javier said.
"Siguro pressured sila, they're thinking na parang they can't do it. Para sa akin, wag lang masyadong pressured, huwag nilang pansinin yung mga bashers," he said.
"Lumaban lang sila, tsaka stick with the system kasi maganda naman yung sistema."
Javier noted that he also experienced the same slump and his squad simply refused to give up.
The squad is now led by the likes of Bon Batiller, Nick Abanto and Alvin Pasaol but Javier stressed everybody should chip in.
"Kasi na-experience ko din yan dati, nung first year ko," Javier said.
"So ako ginawa ko move on and then extra work, work hard ganoon, then day by day, dahan dahan iniimprove ko sarili ko and try to be a team player," he added.
