ISAIAH 'Ice' Blanco-Hontiveros has committed to La Salle as he returns to Manila for college.
The son of PBA legend and Cebuano shooter Dondon Hontiveros has been wooed by UAAP teams since his graduation from University of Cebu, with Far Eastern University, Ateneo, and University of Santo Tomas among his options.
The sweet-shooting 6-3 guard eventually decided to head to La Salle, where he joins a bumper crop of newcomers led by Kevin Quiambao from National University and Jonnel Policarpio from Mapua.
Blanco-Hontiveros has already joined the Green Archers' virtual practices on Friday and will be cleared to play come UAAP Season 82.
He was a key piece to the Junior Webmasters' CESAFI title run in 2018, and earned a Mythical Team selection last season, when UC settled for bridesmaid honors to Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.
He joined FEU's juniors team back in 2019, but a change of heart led to his return to UC for his final high school year.
In La Salle, Hontiveros will be teaming up with the likes of Aljun Melecio and Encho Serrano this coming year.
