CHRISTIAN Sentcheu is no longer with the Far Eastern University men’s basketball team.
FEU athletic director Mark Molina said that the Cameroonian center has been scratched from the Tamaraws lineup for his ‘lack of commitment’ as he has not showed up in school or in practices.
“He is no longer with the team,” said Molina. “He was gone and we didn’t hear from him for a month.”
"So the school removed him for lack of commitment,” Molina added.
Sentcheu was said to have left for Cameroon but is now back in the Philippines.
The 6-foot-10 Sentcheu averaged a paltry 1.1 points and 3.9 rebounds for the Tamaraws in Season 76 although the team will lose a backup center from last year’s squad.
FEU bigman Russell Escoto, however, is expected to come back for FEU in 2014 after suffering a season-ending ACL injury during the offseason last year.
Anthony Hargrove will also return for the next season, while last year’s leading rebounder Mark Belo has shown marked improvement during his stint in the Southeast Asian Games and in the PBA D-League.
