REIGNING titlist National University and Far Eastern University will meet in the Finals for the second straight year after disposing of their respective Final Four opponents Sunday in the UAAP Season 75 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
National youth pool member Hubert Cani had 21 points and six rebounds, while Raphael Atangan chipped in 18 points, four assists and three blocks to lift the second-ranked Bullpups to a 78-66 victory over third seed University of Santo Tomas.
Soon-to-be named back-to-back MVP Jerie Pingoy and Joshua Aguilon shot 19 points apiece as the top-seeded Baby Tamaraws bundled out No. 4 Ateneo, 70-67.
FEU and NU begin their best-of-three title showdown on Sunday at the same venue.

In the women’s division, Snow Peñaranda scored 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lift No. 3 Adamson to a 68-61 win over fourth seed Ateneo in the first step-ladder match.
Jinky Balasta had 17 points while Princess Cochico had 13 points and 12 boards for the Lady Falcons.
Adamson will take on second-ranked La Salle in the second stepladder match.
Armed with a ‘twice-to-beat’ advantage, the Lady Archers are looking to forge a title showdown with the back-to-back seeking Lady Tamaraws.
