THE UAAP men’s basketball tournament’s `problem boy’ struck again.
Arvie Bringas has been slapped with another suspension for elbowing Diony Hipolito in the game between Far Eastern University and University of the Philippines Thursday at the Philsports Arena.
UAAP commissioner Ato Badolato handed out the two-game ban on Bringas Saturday.
The incident took place while Bringas and Hipolito went for the rebound following a free throw by Alvin Padilla at the eight-minute mark of the Tamaraws’ 67-63 win over the Maroons.
Bringas was not ejected from the game, but was called for an unsportsmanlike foul.
The FEU toughie had earlier been suspended for one game by Badolato for spitting on Ateneo’s Justin Chua. Similarly, FEU also penalized Bringas for one game due to the same incident.
Badolato earlier said the board decided that Bringas will serve his suspension during the replay of the controversial game between FEU and National University on September 23.
