DON'T put too much thought on Brent Paraiso's season-best performance for University of Santo Tomas against La Salle because for him, all those narratives are old news.

"I’ve moved on to a new chapter in my life, so I’m starting fresh," he said after scoring 22 points on a 3-of-5 shooting from deep, to go with six rebounds on Saturday.

Paraiso, however, wouldn't deny that it felt fun to play against his old teammates as he faced his former alma mater for the first time since taking his act to Espana.

"It's great to play against them. I’ve been playing with sina Aljun (Melecio) for a long time so it’s good to be back in the court again kahit magkalaban kami," he said.

"In La Salle, I was a bench player but now I’m playing a big role, so I just really have to adjust on my conditioning."

He just wished one thing different, though: for his side to have gotten the upper hand as La Salle topped UST, 92-77 to end the first round of the UAAP Season 82 men's basketball tournament.

"We have to play. It’s a game and they won, so we have to do better," he said.

"We have to continue to work on our team game more. We have to continue developing our chemistry," said Paraiso, hoping that UST could benefit in the week-long break before marching back for the second round.
