ANOTHER De La Salle-Zobel cager is joining Aljun Melecio with the Green Archers.

Brent Paraiso, a key player in the Junior Archers in their Season 78 finals appearance in the UAAP, has decided to stay with the seniors squad and team up once again with Melecio, last season's MVP in the juniors division.

La Salle coach Aldin Ayo sees a gem in the 6-foot-2 Paraiso, who averaged 7.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in the regular season. While Melecio flourished in scoring during his juniors campaign, Ayo looks at Paraiso as the defensive player that the Green Archers need in his defense-oriented system.

The former La Salle-Zobel cager has been joining the Green Archers’ practices and has also been included in the provisionary line-up for the Filoil Flying V preseason tournament.

Ayo said he is also impressed with Paraiso’s overall skills, including on offense. Nevertheless, the La Salle coach said Paraiso’s premium will be on the defensive end and being a role player for the Green Archers at the wing position.
