BISMARCK Lina is the latest player to depart from University of Santo Tomas as he made his move to the University of the Philippines official.
Spin.ph sources confirmed the prodigious Tiger Cubs star has left Espana and will now be playing for the Fighting Maroons in his collegiate career.
The two parties are set to formalize the acquisition on Monday afternoon, with Lina joining the boatload of recruits who have committed to UP in this offseason.

Lina, 19, is a former Gilas Pilipinas Youth member and is the cousin of former King Tiger and current NorthPort gunner Kevin Ferrer.
The 6-foot-5 forward posted 16.6 points, 10.9 points, and 2.1 assists in his last run with the Tiger Cubs. He was a Mythical Team member back in UAAP Season 81.
Lina committed to UST in February and was set to debut for the seniors team until the controversial Bicol bubble tore apart what was once a promising Growling Tigers team.
At UP, he will be reunited with ex-UST team captain CJ Cansino and former national youth team peers Carl Tamayo, Gerry Abadiano, and RC Calimag, who have all earlier chose to head to Diliman.
That also hikes the number of Growling Tigers departures to eight after Cansino, Letran-bound Rhenz Abando, Brent Paraiso, and Ira Bataller, La Salle commits Mark Nonoy and Deo Cuajao, and Mapua-bound Jun Asuncion.
