Ben Mbala scores 36, more than half of Green Archers' total, in victory over Arellano in Fr. Martin Cup

BEN Mbala had 36 points as the La Salle Green Archers defeated the Arellano Chiefs, 71-60, over the weekend in the 12th Fr. Martin Division 2 Cup basketball tournament at the San Beda Gym.

Gab Reyes had 10 points, while Mustapha Haruna added eight as the Green Archers posted their first win in Group A.

The Green Archers took control right in teh first quarter, 21-9, before going to the halftime break ahead, 35-21.

Mbala is in his final year of his two-year residency following his transfer from Southwestern University to La Salle. He will be eligible for the UAA Season 78 in 2015 .

In the juniors division, Adamson beat Emilio Aguinaldo College, 93-41.
