MUCH has been said about Bal David's uneventful stint and surprise resignation as the head coach of the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers, but one opinion stood out.
Earlier this week, news broke out that the Ginebra legend resigned from his post with still one more season left in his two-year deal to coach one of the most high-profile programs in the UAAP.
The school accepted David's resignation on Sunday.

David has yet to really open up about the matter, but in the face of the social media storm it was his sister, Bambi David, who picked up the cudgels to answer one critic.
David bared that her brother took on the role despite the university's lack of support and the absence of even a semblance of organization in the team.

"Sa kakarampot na suportang binigay sa kanya, buong loob niyang tinanggap yang team kahit maraming nagsasabi na 'wag niyang i-accept kasi nga walang resources at walang players," she opened her paragraph. "But he did."
It was in July 2022 when David accepted the post to be the beleaguered team's head coach after talks between officials of San Miguel Corp. UST on a possible partnership fell through.
"He gave everything for your school," she said, sharing that her brother made personal efforts and dug from his own pocket to make funds for the team's benefit.
Then, she let out a message to all his brother's naysayers.
"To all those ungrateful people na walang alam, yes sinayang niyo yung totoong may puso at malasakit para sa UST. Yung kahit kailan hindi magbebenta ng laro, hindi mangungurakot sa sponsors. Tinanggap niya yung job cause he wanted to give back to his alma matter," she continued.
"Kaya kuya thank you for resigning, you don't deserve this school, you don't deserve to be treated like that."
