ATENEO coach Bo Perasol sees his players’ decision to cut their hair short and sport buzz cuts as a positive sign in the team's bid to arrest a three-game losing skid in the UAAP basketball tournament.
Ateneo players led by star Kiefer Ravena had haircuts done after practice on Wednesday as a show of unity as they look to break a woeful start in their game against the Adamson Falcons on Sunday.
Slam Philippines first posted the photos online.
Perasol said that he doesn’t know who hatched the idea of sporting the new hairdo. He, however, liked the attitude shown by the players who agreed on doing something as a team.
“In a way, self sacrifice sa kanila ‘yun,” said Perasol. “Good in a sense that they are exercising an act that is not necessarily comfortable pero they had to do because they agreed on doing it.”
But Perasol recognizes that they still have to win on the court against Adamson.
“That does not mean that it will equate to winning automatically but it’s a positive start,” said Perasol.
