AXEL Iñigo might not suit up for the Adamson Falcons in the UAAP and could move to Far Eastern University where his older brother Achie is playing, sources told Spin.ph.

Adamson team manager Gilbert Cruz confirmed the younger Iñigo has told management he is leaving after two seasons with the Falcons, who already have a lean backcourt.

Cruz said Iñigo was not with the team in the University Games and in a recent exhibition game with the PBA Legends in Mindanao.

“Delikadong wala na siya sa team kasi biglang nagpaalam na ayaw na niya,” said Cruz.

Iñigo averaged 4.4 points, which is already third-best for the struggling Falcons who finished with only one win in Season 77.

Cruz said he doesn’t know where Iñigo is heading but sources told Spin.ph the former San Beda Red Cub could be headed to the Tamaraws.

FEU athletic director Mark Molina said Axel has yet to join the team, and he has advised Inigo’s parents to secure a release from Adamson if he intends to move to the Tamaraws.

“We advised his father to get release from Adamson if he wants to transfer,” said Molina.

Cruz said head coach Kenneth Duremdes and Iñigo's father will meet to discuss matters.

“Ang alam ko, mag-uusap pa si coach Kenneth at ’yung ama niya kung ano talaga,” said Cruz.
