AFTER only one season, Jared Brown bid the Ateneo Blue Eagles goodbye, revealing his plans to turn professional.
The 5-foot-10 Fil-Am guard announced on Friday that he's closing his college career after a one-and-done stint with the Katipunan-based squad.
"It is God's plan for me to start the next chapter of my life and I am super excited for what the future holds," he said in an Instagram post. "For my future, I will be transitioning and preparing to become a professional which has been a long-life goal of mine."

In his lone season in Katipunan, he averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 rebounds, and had a couple of breakout games draining over 20 points for the Blue Eagles.
The Westmont College, California transferee expressed his gratitude to the Ateneo community, and Blue Eagles management and coaches.

"I know my time as a Blue Eagle has been short but within this year I can genuinely say I have been a part of a family and a brotherhood that I will cherish forever," he added.
Brown is the second Ateneo player to announce departure from the team after Kai Ballungay.
Moving forward, Ateneo is set to miss the services of its three statistical leaders from UAAP Season 86 in Ballungay, Brown, and one-and-done reinforcement Joseph Obasa in the team's Season 87 title reclamation bid, together with Blue Eagles veteran Jason Credo.
