NO ifs, no buts. Defending champion Ateneo will try to win a sixth straight UAAP men’s basketball title no matter what it takes.

Never mind if key players Greg Slaughter, Nico Salva, Justin Chua, and even coach Norman Black are no longer around to answer the call for Season 76 of the country’s premier collegiate league.

“Ang sa akin, we go for the championship whatever it takes,” said new Blue Eagles coach Bo Perasol.

The presence of star player Kiefer Ravena alone is enough for the Katipunan-based school to feel confident about their date with history.

“For us let's forget about the five-peat,” said Perasol. “Let's go for another championship. If that would mean six-peat to other people, then that would be a six-peat.”
