ATENEO got another win done, with much thanks to its one-and-done.
Travis Roberts made sure the Blue Eagles grounded Adamson, 73-68, in the UAAP Season 89 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The 6-foot-6 Fil-Am guard had already carried the blue-and-white through several preseason games, and he officially broke out in his lone campaign in Katipunan, while also being flanked by the dynamic duo of Jared Bahay and Kieffer Alas.
Roberts turned in his best game yet with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting, backing Bahay’s 18-point outing.
Even with Alas held to a season-low seven points, captain Ian Espinosa chipped in 10, making all four of his shots, while Drew Bongo added nine to keep Ateneo’s offense firing.
“Sobrang tiwala niya (coach Louie Alas) sa guards. Sabi niya na kami ang mag-take over sa team namin and I took it seriously lang. Naging accountable ako sa team namin, and just played with all my best, especially sa defense,” said Bahay.
Precious Jonah shot 6-of-7 from the field to pace the Soaring Falcons in their first loss with 17 points, while Mat Edding and Ray Allen Torres chipped in 12 apiece.
