ATENEO gets reacquainted with La Salle as one of the country's most storied rivalries take center stage on Sunday in the UAAP Season 82 men's basketball tournament at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The defending champion Blue Eagles are off to the races, downing Adamson, 70-52, in an emphatic start to their three-peat quest, yet coach Tab Baldwin expects a tougher match against the debuting Green Archers in the 4 p.m. tiff.
"La Salle's got a big mission in front of them, it's a stated mission, they want to make it back to the playoffs, and we will be their first game. So they've seen us now, we haven't seen them, that presents some problems, but we have a game under our belt and they don't, so that might present some problems for them," Baldwin said.

Ateneo will lean on the leadership of Thirdy Ravena, Ange Kouame and Isaac Go.
Meanwhile, Justine Baltazar, Aljun Melecio, and the debuting Keyshawn Evans-Meeker are gunning to lead La Salle to a victorious opener, with coach Gian Nazario and active consultant Jermaine Byrd calling the shots.
"We know what our goal is and it's clear to us what we have to do to have a good start to the season," said Nazario.
University of the East and Far Eastern University gun for their first win when they clash at 12 p.m.
The Red Warriors are aiming to give coach Bong Tan his breakthrough victory after falling to UST, 95-82 last Wednesday.
The same is the case for the Tamaraws, who are looking to rebound from their tough 61-55 loss to UP in opening day.
