UAAP commissioner Andy Jao is expected to hand out a decision on the sanction to be imposed on University of the Philippines coach Rey Madrid as early as Tuesday.
Jao confirmed he has received the apology letter of Madrid on Monday two days after the UP coach made controversial statements alluding to `point shaving' following the Maroons’ 73-57 loss to University of Santo Tomas.
“I have to discuss other matters of the issue with my staff tomorrow morning,” said Jao in an SMS message.
On Monday, Madrid apologized for the `point shaving' remark he made on Saturday.
The winless Maroons will next face defending champion De La Salle on Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
