ALYSSA Valdez has opened up about her love life, saying in an interview in a tele-magazine show over GMA that she is single and not being courted by anyone at the moment.
The volleyball star from Ateneo was being interviewed by Kara David for the TV program ‘Powerhouse’ in an episode shown on Wednesday afternoon where she was asked about her love life.
“Wala po,” said the Lady Eagles standout when asked by David if she has a boyfriend.
When asked if she had been in a relationship before, Valdez answered: “One lang.”
Valdez also answered in the negative when asked if she was being courted by someone, but made it clear it wasn't because she didn't want to entertain suitors.
“Wala po. Hindi ko po ayaw (magka-boyfriend), wala lang talaga,” said the national player and two-time UAAP MVP.
Asked by David if she has a crush on any UAAP basketball player, Valdez answered she doesn’t have one as she rarely watches basketball games except if it involves her school Ateneo.
“Wala eh. Hindi po ako usually nanonood ng basketball. Nanonood ako kapag Ateneo team. Sinusuportahan ko ‘yung buong Ateneo team,” said Valdez.
Valdez said she is open to having a boyfriend, but made it clear he has to be understanding enough to cope with her grueling training schedule.
“Basta understanding, bakit hindi? Kasi training schedule pa lang namin, wala na. Kailangan nakakaintindi,” said Valdez.
“Pero saka na,” she added.
