ALFRED Aroga of National University will have to sit out UAAP Season 78 if he fails to submit his updated Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) before the start of the seniors basketball season, sources told Spin.ph.

The Cameroonian, a vital cog of last year's UAAP champions, must submit his ACR before the board two days before the opening of Season 78 on September 5 in order to be officially declared eligible by the league.

An ACR is one of the required documents for foreign players in the UAAP.

Previously, the league allowed foreign athletes to suit up without an updated ACR, on the condition that won games will be forfeited if the league doesn't receive a copy of the document before the start of the second round of the eliminations.

The UAAP has since done away with the prartice.

NU officials, however, eased fears that Aroga may have to sit out the situation, saying the Bulldogs center already has an official receipt of the ACR and is only waiting for the document's release for submission to the league.
