ANOTHER Figueroa is moving up to the seniors level of National U.
Kurl Figueroa is following older brother Jake's footsteps, as he joins the Bulldogs for college.

He will be one of three Bullpups who will climb the ladder, together with Chad Cartel and Sofiane Bouzina, coach Jeff Napa confirmed.
"Malaki ang maitutulong sa amin nitong mga batang ito. Ang mahalaga naman sa amin is alam nila yung sistema kaya tingin namin, hindi na sila mahihirapan pagdating sa adjustment," the outspoken mentor told SPIN.ph.
NU's next in line
The 6-foot-4 Figueroa was NU-Nazareth School's sparkplug off the bench, nabbing 10.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in their runner-up finish in the UAAP Season 88 boys' basketball tournament.
He was also part of the Gilas Pilipinas Youth team in the 2024 FIBA U18 Asia Cup in Amman, Jordan.
Cartel, a 6-foot-2 winger from Iloilo City, put up 9.9 points on 53-percent shooting from deep, to go with 2.9 boards, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals as the Bullpups' starting small forward.
Meanwhile, Bouzina is an undersized big standing at 6-foot-4 who racked 4.0 points and 2.9 rebounds in 12 minutes of play last season.
All are eligible to play full five years starting in Season 89 later this year.

The trio also join a bumper crop of new faces for NU bannered by another Bullpup in Mac Alfanta, guard Dwyne Miranda, Fil-Canadian winger Dennis Laconsay, and Cebuano forward Johncel Borjal.
