ALEX Diakhite is a game-time decision for University of the East for its game against Adamson on Wednesday.
Red Warriors active consultant Lawrence Chongson bared the development with the Senegalese slotman still at UERM Memorial Medical Center.
"He is day-to-day, to say the least," he said.
Diakhite was feared to have gotten dengue over the weekend after he was rushed to the hospital the night before UE's game against FEU on Sunday.
Despite that, the 6-foot-9 behemoth still posted 21 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks in the Red Warriors' 81-65 loss to the Tamaraws.
He was rushed to the hospital after the game and has yet to be disharcged.
"Di pa naman conclusive na dengue as of last night. Perhaps dehydration lang kaya the doctors just focused on hydrating him," he said.
The 21-year-old center has been averaging 20.5 points, 18.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks through two games this UAAP Season 82 men's basketball tournament.
He, however, is not out of the woods yet as Chongson shared that Diakhite will still undergo blood testing on Tuesday to confirm the diagnosis.
