ALDIN Ayo is still head coach of the UST Growling Tigers.

There are rumors Ayo has been ousted as chief of the UST basketball program but insiders clarified that he is now focusing on the seniors team and has left the reins for the juniors program to coach Bonnie Garcia.

Ayo is in the second year of a three-year contract with UST, contrary to earlier reports which state that he signed for six years.

"Hindi aalis si coach Aldin sa UST. May complications sa juniors namin kaya nag-decide kaming mag-focus na lang sa seniors," said the source, who asked for anonymity.

Ayo also had a short run as the head coach for the Muntinlupa Cagers in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, lasting only three games at the helm in the 2019 Anta Datu Cup in September last year.

The source bared that FMR, one of the team's main sponsors when Ayo came in, is already out of the picture, with Ironcon being the main supporter of the squad for the meantime.
