ALDIN Ayo is set to be formally introduced to players of University of Sto. Tomas on Thursday afternoon as he lays down the groundwork for the Growling Tigers' rebuilding program.

SPIN.ph spotted Ayo being given a tour of UST's refurbished gym by school officials in the company of fellow coaches McJour Luib, Rene Bayna and Bonnie Garcia.

Ayo is expected to meet with the players later to lay down his plans for the coming years.

Renzo Subido, a Tigers guard who sat out Sablan's second and final season as UST coach, was among the first to greet Ayo during the informal rites.

Sources told SPIN.ph that Ayo will have full control of the UST basketball program and Luib and Co. are expected to play major roles in the rebuilding of a program that has crashed under Boy Sablan.

Ayo uploaded on his Facebook account on Thursday a photo of the UST Tigers logo, days after the school announced it has hired the 40-year-old who coached La Salle for two seasons in the UAAP.
